Oh, how I love the month of April! There is something magical about the breaking of winter and the start of spring. All of nature celebrates, and so do I.
As a kid, I used to look forward to spring break, and I like to start my coloring pages for the month with a matching page and month name.
April Combination Page
There are many different April pages at Steviedoodles.com. I especially love the April heart filled with Easter eggs. The bright flowers and eggs remind me of friendship, sacrifice, and new life—everything spring is about.
My April page is bright and vibrant. I fill the eggs with yellows and greens, and if the mood takes me, I may even start adding my own elements like ladybugs, bunnies, and butterflies to complete the feel of April and spring.
April Is Also for Fools
That’s right, April 1st is for fools. It’s a day of fun and pranks, and I love celebrating this with a great April Fools Day coloring page. I constantly giggle while I color in these pages with bright colors and patterns and designs. I can see the mischief on the faces of my children as they sit and color next to me.
My pencils seem to dance along the images of jesters, bells, and smiling faces. How happy I feel while coloring in these fun pages on the 1st of April.
April Showers Bring May Flowers
In April, we are blessed with rain, and soon, the winter ground softens and spring flowers appear. I love the sound of rain, and I adore sitting with my coloring book when April showers are rumbling outside.
With images of umbrellas and bright patterns, I am soon ready for spring. Each of these umbrellas make me hum a different song while I color, and I feel my blues disappear while I let the pencils dance on the paper. Oh, how glorious the colors and patterns will be.
April Brings Cherry Blossoms
Washington in April is a fabulous glow of pink and soft lavender as the cherry blossoms appear and make all of the world happy and joyous. I have so much fun coloring cherry blossoms and the delicate butterflies that visit the cherry trees along the broad avenues.
Of course, with the pretty flowers, the birds also abound, and I can’t wait to color their bright feathers and the colorful trees that they perch in and build nests in. The birds are surrounded by cherry flowers, and they fill the air with sweet songs while I color in the park. Tiny pink petals drift down while I fill each petal with pink and passion colors with my pencils.
April Is for Spring Break
College students know the joy of spring break. When that time of the year comes around, I am thrilled with the fun and sunny activities that accompany this special time.
My coloring pages are vibrant, and they lift my spirit as I color teenagers on the beach, older couples enjoying the outdoors, and kids running on the boardwalk and riding on the carousel.
I’ll choose a bright red dress for the little girl, and blue shorts with a striped shirt for the boy. These colors remind me of being so carefree and innocent. The carousel pony I’ll do in shades of pink and blue and purple.
I remember the carousel near my childhood home and that the blue horse was my favorite to ride. I smile at the memory, color some more, run my hand over the texture of the pencils on paper, and I feel such peace.
