I love coloring. It’s been a passion of mine since childhood, and with the amazing coloring pages available now, I can color any theme or topic I like.
When I chose my amazing collection of August coloring pages, I wasn’t disappointed. Here’s why!
August Is the Month of Summer
There’s something amazing about the last month of summer, when the season is just beginning to turn.
The coloring pages for the month of August are just as awesome. I love the images of the last of the summer holidays, kids on the beach, hikes in the mountains, and the beginning of fall creeping in.
One of my ultimate favorites is to start each month with a combination coloring page that has the month’s name, as well as images that tell me all about that month.
Hello August
Available from Coloring Only, this is a fun coloring page about flowers, August, and kindness. The flowers and the month of poppies all combine to remind me of gratitude and peace. When I color these flowers, I usually choose a bright red and a dark green for the leaves to celebrate life, summer, and health.
I also adore seasons, and since August is the last of summer in the U.S., I finish off the season with a truly summer coloring page.
Summer Pages
I found this coloring page a real winner. All the elements of summer are there: an umbrella, seagulls, shells, waves, sand, and sun. When I color these, I feel so free and relaxed, like I can almost feel the waves bubble over my toes. As I color the happy seagull, I can almost hear the cheery cry and smell the salty ocean.
Crayola has the coolest pencils and crayons, and I adore their coloring pages too. Their “at the beach” coloring page has all the best of summer in a beautiful layout. While coloring this page, I feel the fun of a summer beach day with the beach ball, flip-flops, sandcastles, a peaceful beach chair, and a huge umbrella. There’s even a friendly fish and a boat on the horizon. I wonder where the boat is going, don’t you?
Summer Rhythm
With all the coloring on the beach, I feel a strong summer vibe and soon I want to dance! What better way to do that than with some great patterns and rhythm?
I found this real winner on Etsy called Pink Sunset, and it’s beautiful! When I color this page, I feel the sunset, and I feel the sound of late nights listening to the summer sounds from the nearby cafes and carnivales.
My fingers move quickly while I color the friendly sun, and I smile in response. I can almost see the leaves of the flowers and their bright petals twist and turn on the page, dancing with joy. This page has become the garden of my imagination.
Before the cold of winter strikes, my family and I always take a road trip, exploring the beautiful states around us, and coloring is part of that. This retro bus with luggage is just the best! It makes me think of all the amazing days my family and I have traveled the roads, sang songs, and eaten road-trip food until the ketchup was dripping down our chins. It feels like the hippy in me comes out to sing and dance, while I color the bus, flowers, and surfboards.
Moving to Fall
Summer will eventually give way to fall, and I always choose to color a few fall pages at the end of August. After all, this is when the leaves start to turn glorious shades of red, gold, and brown. It’s a riot of color, right there on my page!
