Now, I know what many of you are thinking. How does one color a ghost coloring page? Yet, this familiar and necessary Halloween staple provides a lot of room for creativity when coloring a ghost. While many may think that ghosts should be white, I beg to differ. Listen close and see some fun and creative ways to color a printable ghost coloring page.

Add Color to Your Ghosts

Printing out a ghost coloring page is a great way to stimulate the imagination of those with younger children. There is no set rule that a ghost has to be white. Allow your toddler, preschooler, or kindergartner to create colorful ghosts with lots of personalities. Ghosts can be red, pink, green, yellow, orange, blue, purple, or any combination of these. While white ghosts are typical and expected, colorful ghosts are exciting and surprising.

Older kids may want to add details to the ghost. If your child is comfortable drawing or creating, they may enjoy illustrating chains on the ghosts. Or perhaps they may want to add some sinister attributes like scars, fangs, or other scary details. If your child is old enough, encourage them to set their ghost apart with unique designs and colors.

Perhaps your child will insist on having a pale ghost. Yet, this does not mean that color cannot be used to enhance your printable ghost page. Adding some pale shades of green or yellow can give the ghost an aged or ethereal cast. A few drops of red in the right place can make a cute little ghost seem horrific. Adding a lot or a little color can doctor up your ghost coloring page.

Ghosts in Halloween Scenes

Many of the popular coloring pages provide ghosts in a Halloween scene. Some show your ghost trick-or-treating, others put your ghost in a location with other monsters, or perhaps the ghost is holding a pumpkin. Another familiar image associated with ghosts is that of a haunted house. Your kids will love coloring pages depicting a creepy old house with a ghost or two as residents. Some pictures showcase a ghost in many festive situations with friends like a witch, the grim reaper, and other monsters. These ghost coloring pages are perfect for coloring around any time of year, but they are instrumental around Halloween.

Ghost coloring pages can vary. Some can depict a cute ghost. Others may showcase a scary ghost. Regardless of the type of ghost, the image is destined to be spooky. Parents should keep these Halloween coloring pages featuring ghosts on their shortlist of Halloween activities.

Ghostbusters

One of the most famous ghost-related movies is Ghostbusters. The franchise includes older films from the 80s, the animated series, and the recent reboot films. The Ghostbusters franchise has enthralled many audiences and generations. Older kids and adults will love coloring their favorite characters and scenes from the comedy films. Of course, the film’s most iconic image is the ghostbuster symbol with the ghost being crossed out.

Casper

Another famous ghost is the titular character of the movie Casper. Casper, like the characters of Ghostbusters, has influenced many generations. This friendly ghost and his naughty uncles are excellent subjects for some ghost coloring pages.

Whether you are prepping for a Halloween party or simply looking to entertain your little ones, these printable ghost coloring pages are fun for all ages. Break out the colored pencils, and get the family involved in coloring your favorite ghosts and ghost-themed scenes.
